Understand the Simplex and Duplex Technologies in FRS Radios
With innovations being made in any gadget, every user should be updated with the different technologies integrated in any device or equipment. The FRS radios had also undergone lots of developments, changes and enhancements since they were first introduced in the telecommunication market. Many technologies had been integrated in different models of two way devices and it is deemed essential for any frs radio user to have background information on two technologies that pertain to the communication equipment. A user should know the difference between the simplex and duplex technologies or styles.
With the simplex technology, a single channel is used by the radio when sending and receiving data, message or signal. This is the common technology used for communication gadgets and are adjudged to be the most reliable for transmission of data within a short distance. The duplex technology, on the other hand, makes use of two different channels. One is for sending data and the other one is for receiving. The rationale for using two channels is a guarantee that the data do not mix-up or interfere with one another. You can choose either of the two ways by which the duplex technology is utilized. You can have half or full duplex. In the half duplex, the radio can receive and send data separately under a given time. Under the full duplex, the sending and receiving can be made simultaneous.
